not enough tick hate on this website. everyone hates wasps or spiders but I rarely see issue with tiny undetectable blood sucking demons who hang out in beautiful plant-filled places and spread deadly disease with a single bite. wasps might punch you in the face occasionally but ticks will steal your lunch money and total your car and poison your food and use all the hot water and as the planet warms up these little devil suckpods are hitching rides anywhere their horrible little feet can plop themselves down and camp out for the next victim of their terrible curses.

The Steve/Tony Tiny Reverse Bang is here!

TRB is a low commitment, midyear flashworks challenge organized by @cap-ironman that runs similarly to Reverse Bang, where artists make works and writers create fills inspired by the artworks.

How does it work?

  • Artists create drawings inspired by the themes below.
  • The artworks will be posted weekly and writers are invited to write drabbles, ficlets, or longer pieces based on the week’s art.
  • After each week, all the fills created will be rounded up before the next week begins.
  • At the end of the challenge, all of the art and fics created will be rounded up and shared with the community!

This year’s inspirational themes are:

  • Time
  • Victory/Defeat
  • Control
  • Home

Schedule:

  • June 10 – July 1
Art submission period. All art submissions are due on July 1st in your time zone and must be submitted to cap.im.events@gmail.com or as a Tumblr submission to @capim-tinybang.
  • July 7
Art posting and writing period begins. The challenge period will run until September.

To participate, please read through our Tiny Reverse Bang Guidelines page for more information and submission details.

This Day in History: Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United Sates. Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19th that the Union soldiers landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the war had ended and that the enslaved were now free two and a half years after President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation.

Happy Juneteenth, Tumblr 🖤
