in medieval times you ONLY addressed a king/queen with “Your Majesty”, NEVER “Your Highness”. To address a king/queen with “Your Highness” was considered an insult.

Here’s a more extensive list of titles and what you would call a person/their wife/their mother/their children

… So when Cinderella’s stepsister Anastasia curtsied terribly and addressed Prince Charming as “Your Grace”, it was UNSPEAKABLY RUDE?

This drives me nuts when I read someone addresses a King or Queen as Your Highness. NO! IT’S YOUR MAJESTY!

In one episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine, they talk about how trans people have it difficult in prison. In the very next episode the sentence “Nothing is more attractive in a woman than the clear absence of a penis” is uttered.

It’s almost like B99 is a show made by liberals for liberals and its progressiveness is entirely performative.

it’s almost like the context of that line was explicitly and unambiguously framed as mocking straight people by having a gay man pretend very badly to be straight and try to figure out what the hell is attractive about a thigh gap

it’s almost like ideological purity doesn’t exist and dismissing a show with one of the most diverse casts on television, which also depicts healthy m/f friendships and directly and explicitly addresses societal problems, calling it “made by liberals for liberals” because it’s not perfect in every way is, itself, entirely performative.
