Remember when Anakin cut his son’s hand off and then immediately asked him if they could be pals as if he hadn’t just cut his son’s hand off?

Anakin’s like, “I lost four limbs… I’m not sure why he’s so upset?”

imagine Finn with puppies tho. They are so TINY and also helpless and they just love everything so very much and here is a former stormtrooper who was conditioned to never show emotion and was constantly rebuked for his desire to protect his weaker squadmates – imagine poe giving him a puppy; the runt of the litter, the tiny one that needs handrearing and Finn is just. so. dedicated. this tiny puppy, this furchild, it needs him! he stays up all night with it. he cuddles it. he sings to it. it is his baby. not only is he not being told off for caring for Small and Weak things, he is being actively encouraged to do so and it is so beautiful oh i want to cry.

Finn, Rey, and Poe seem like the kind of people who’d have a relationship that requires a very strict ratio of 2 human disasters to 1 mature adult, and they rotate turns about who has to be responsible.

Like Poe comes back from a meeting to find Rey and Finn both wearing buckets on their head as they blindly sock wrestle (half a dozen pilots in a circle around them, egging them on) and Poe’s first thought is, “shit, they’re both already wrestling so I have to be referee.”
