I’ll never understand when it became a bad thing to be polite.
Like if someone said “hey, I go by my middle name please don’t call me by my first name, thanks” no one would bat an eye. So I don’t get why people can’t take the two seconds to think about what they’re saying and use the preferred terms that people in individual communities have selected.
