i know no one on my dash watches the CW superhero shows anymore and there are any number of good reasons to be doing that, but supergirl just introduced a character who is a) trans b) played by a trans actress and c) going to end up a superhero according to googling the character’s name while verifying that the actress is in fact transgender

on one hand they are 100% doing this just because their audience wants them to but on the other hand… they’re doing it??? and well?? when this character was introduced i was like “oh yeah she’s going to be an alien” but instead of being an ALLEGORY for an oppressed group she actually is??? from an oppressed group????

so basically i stan supergirl and they’ve owned me since alex came out but now they double own me

i know a bunch of y’all don’t watch the cw superhero tv shows (for excellent reason) but i want you all to know that this is their winter finale week so everything this week has been “christmas specials” and legends of tomorrow opened on a man in a bright blue hanukkah sweater in a red-and-green store and someone wished him happy christmas and he replied “and a happy hanukkah to you, sir” and basically i’m living right now
