October 1, 2016: Upon the 7th Birthday of Soulless – Gail Carriger

fuckyeahgailcarriger:

October 1, 2009 a silly little book [named Soulless] hit the market.

A very nervous debut author hummed and hawed over her offering. Would
anyone actually like it? It was such an odd mash up of paranormal,
steampunk, and comedy – who would enjoy such a ridiculous story? Were
there readers out there irreverent enough to want whimsy?

Soulless turns 7 today! Gail is asking that you share your “How I discovered Soulless” story today, either on her blog post or tagged to her @gailcarriger. 🙂 Happy birthday, Soulless, and congrats to Miss Gail! 🙂

@gailcarriger One of the first real friends I made in college (@carrigerpigeon) found out that I like fantasy, steampunk, kickass ladies, and LGBT representation and all but shoved Soulless into my hands. Cue an excellent friendship and a great first year of college 🙂
